Solitary Island Marine Park

The Solitary Island Marine Park is a unique marine habitat created by the mixing of the warmer waters from the southern Great Barrier Reef as they swirl southwards with cooler temperate waters from the Tasmin sea. The centrepiece and defining natural feature is the five solitary islands.

There are hard coral colonies, soft corals, tropical anemones, black coral trees and tropical fish all vying for space with ascidians, sponges, sea tulips, algaes and massive fish life.
